Victorian School Room at 16 Trinity Square during the Victorian Extravaganza

Step Back in Time…

As the Victorian Extravaganza rolls into town, it brings with it a sparkle of Victorian magic which transports the very fabric of this seaside resort back to its Victorian roots… The acclaimed interactive history workshop is a fun and educational experience suitable for all ages.

16 Trinity Square will be taken back in time, as the building is transformed into a Victorian school for the course of the weekend. The magical Mr French will show you what school life was like for Victorian school kids as you are schooled in the ‘old fashioned’ way. Parents can come too – It’s suitable for all ages! The classroom will be taking place in the Co-Working Space.

Co-workers do not worry, as there are alternative arrangements for another space for you to use 🙂 .

There will be some fancy dress outfits to help attendees immerse themselves in this time-bending experience (and also fit in with the rest of the Victorian surroundings).

Rest assured, this is an interactive and fun-filled experience, and also a quiet oasis from the hustle and bustle of the steam engines and amusements outside. Just step inside and experience a little bit of history.

Everyone has watched doctor who and wanted to go on their own time travel adventure – well, you too are lucky enough to get the opportunity to have a fantastic experience of being transported back in time to the Victorian era. (But kids still have to go to school!)

Afterwards, they will likely have a new perspective on their education, and how the classroom has changed over many years.

This is just one of the many period pieces that have been organised to educate and inspire interest in the town’s Victorian golden age. Organisers of this year’s festival are working hard to take the extravaganza back to its Victorian roots, with educational workshops, amusements, displays and performances all throughout the festival area of the town.

If you’re planning on taking a trip to the extravaganza, then take the kiddies along to this awesome interactive event.

The classroom is open each day at 11am, 11.30am, 1pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, 3pm, 3.30pm.

No need to book, just turn up. Suitable for all ages.

The Extravaganza takes place from 5th May  to  7th May 2018

16 Trinity Square seems to be a magical centre point of all sorts of goings on, just this winter Santa decided to park his sleigh in the building as visitors enjoyed the Livetech VR Santa’s Sleigh Experience.
